I know where I want to go.

I just don't know exactly how long it will take, or what the next chapter will look like.

And for now, I'm keeping the destination to myself.

Not because I don't know. I do.

There are places I've been thinking about, researching and slowly moving toward. Places far beyond Sweden, and beyond the life I've known here.

But some things are better revealed when the time is right.

What matters for now is that I have made a decision.

I want to leave Sweden.

That thought has been with me for a while. At some point, it stopped being something I occasionally imagined and became something I started preparing for.

This autumn, I turn 50.

I've never really had an age crisis. Not at 20, not at 30, not at 40, and apparently not at 50 either.

If anything, getting older has made me more comfortable with knowing what I want and less interested in spending time on things that don't feel right anymore.

I don't want to spend the next ten years simply repeating the last few.

So I'm starting to move.

Not necessarily physically yet. There are still practical things to figure out. Work, money, timing and what it would actually take to build a life somewhere else.

But mentally, the journey has already started.

I'm looking beyond Sweden and beyond Europe. I'm exploring work that could give me more freedom and mobility, and I'm thinking seriously about what kind of life I want to build in a completely different part of the world.

There is no departure date written on my calendar yet.

There are still pieces to put together.

But the direction is there.

And somewhere in all of this, I realized something.

I don't want Whisperrealm to exist separately from my life.

I want it to grow with me.

Whisperrealm started with stories, observations and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. Over time, it has become books, photography, film, music and ideas that keep expanding.

Now I'm adding another part.

A journal.

Not a perfect record of my life. Not a place where I pretend to have everything figured out.

A place where I can write about what I'm seeing, thinking, creating and experiencing while I'm moving through this part of my life.

Maybe I'll write about a place.

Maybe a person.

Maybe something I noticed on a train.

Maybe a film I'm making, a book I'm writing, a photograph I took or an idea that appeared at two in the morning.

And sometimes, I suppose, I'll write about myself.

This is the first one.

I still live in Sweden.

I still have a job here.

My suitcase isn't packed.

The date isn't set.

But something has changed.

The idea of leaving is no longer only an idea.

It has become a direction.

I won't call this my last autumn in Sweden.

Maybe it will be.

Maybe it won't.

But it is the autumn when I decided that I want to find out.

And that feels like a good place to begin.

Welcome to Whisperrealm Journal.

Stories live in the quiet.
